I don’t think we need to tell any of you how to make whipped cream. But we thought we should start this blog by making some fresh Schlag!
We like to use organic heavy whipping cream.
We add ultra fine pure cane sugar and we sift in a couple of heaping tablespoon–just because we want to show off.
We like to add vanilla.
To make your own extract, take three vanilla beans, preferably Madagascar or Tahitian beans and slice them down the center but with the ends in tact. Then marinate them in vodka for a month.
We used the extract because life is short and we don’t have the time to wait a month for our vanilla.
One thing is for sure, Nothing is better than a cup of coffee mit schlag.
